As a result, I have had some awesome breakfasts this week. Homemade granola (courtesy of my granola-addict husband), green smoothies, smoothie bowls topped with granola and fresh fruit. Zucchini oats were something else I tried…I was intrigued by the idea but I think I need to play around with the recipe a bit more!

I made this awesome smoothie bowl for breakfast the other morning. The smoothie was creamy and reminded me of raspberry yoghurt, which paired perfectly with apple granola! Smoothie bowls are a new favourite of mine – as much as I love green smoothies for breakfast, I often end up making toast or a bowl of granola as well. But smoothie bowls are like a smoothie and bowl of granola combined – very filling! They keep me going for hours without feeling hungry!
- 1 banana
- 1 kiwi fruit
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 cup oat milk
- ½ cup granola
- Handful fresh strawberries (optional topping)
- Blend together the banana, kiwi fruit, raspberries and oat milk.
- Pour into a bowl.
- Top with granola and strawberries.
